Abstract
This selection examines business games as an active method of instruction and as a point of departure for elaborating a theory of the firm under socialism. It represents a newly emerging trend in the cybernetic approach to management theory in the USSR. Indeed, the authors are leading proponents of business games, and have had considerable impact in this area.
