Abstract

The structure of the functional part of photoprotein aequorin is discussed based on the ¹³C n.m.r. spectra of aequorins prepared by incubation of specifically ¹³C-enriched coelenterazines into apoaequorin in the presence of ¹⁶O₂ and ¹⁸O₂, respectively.
