Abstract
During the last several years, an intensive study of narcotic antagonists has been conducted at the Addiction Research Center directed toward finding an analgesic of low abuse potentiality and an understanding of the mode of action of narcotic analgesics and antagonists. It was in the pursuit of these two goals that another use of the narcotic antagonists was conceived, namely, the employment of their blocking properties in the ambulatory treatment of narcotic abusers. Keywords
