Vector-Meson Mass Generation by Chiral Anomalies

Abstract
We show that the chiral Schwinger model, which is anomalous, yields a consistent and unitary, although not gauge-invariant, theory. The model is exactly solvable and contains a free massive vector boson plus harmonic excitations.Keywords
