Abstract
Two important aspects of Pozo’s theoretical contribution have been discussed in this commentary. The first one concerns the need, following the EEEE redefinition of the mind, for the study of a more ‘concrete developing person’ and its implications regarding the role of the external system of representation as tools and signs in the development of thinking. Second, some suggestions are made concerning the empirical and methodological implications of such an embodied integrative approach to cognition and learning. There can be no doubt that the in-depth and critical analysis proposed by Pozo is insightful and promising for psychology.
