Abstract
A Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation is derived for an ion acoustic surface wave propagating on the interface between a plasma and vacuum, using two-fluid equations. The nonlinearity responsible for the KdV equation is found to be the nonlinear current at the boundary. Keywords
