Abstract
The case for palliative care training for generic nurses is supported in this article, and the results of an evaluation of a generic palliative nursing course are explored. Evaluation of the participants’ knowledge base was undertaken using the Palliative Care Quiz for Nurses, and more subjective evaluation of changes in practice was achieved through a short questionnaire which was sent out to participants 3months after completion of the course. The need for educators and clinicians to develop more evaluation models based on clinical evidence is highlighted. Keywords
