Abstract
The results of ninety-five revision operations for post-stapedectomy conductive deafness are reported and discussed. They show that closure, or near-closure, of the air-bone gap can be obtained in about 60 per cent of patients. This figure falls to about 40 per cent for second and subsequent revision operations. There is little danger of causing a further deterioration in hearing. Keywords
