Current-Current Interaction and Calculation of the Nonleptonic Baryon Decays

Abstract
Arguments are given why the nonleptonic weak interaction should, in a quark model with neutral-vector-boson strong interaction, be calculable in terms of low-energy contributions, which can be estimated from the knowledge of semileptonic processes. Fair agreement with experiments seems to support this possibility. The suggestion is also made that this model could be very helpful in understanding many properties of electromagnetic and weak interactions.
