A RHEOLOGICAL EXPRESSION OP COAGULATION RATE THEORY II

Abstract
Describing the mechanical energy of agitation by the same expression as the surface potential energy in equation (12) proposed in Part l29) of this paper, both the effects of surface potential energy and mechanical energy on the variation of junction number were expressed in the same form of equations. Expressing the rate constants of coagulation and dissociation in the dimensionless form, operations between the constants became possible, and equations describing the combined effect of surface potential energy and mechanical energy were derived without dimensional problems, As a result of including the two effects in one equation, the existence of equilibrium between the coagulation rate and the dissociation rate was predicted theoretically and was confirmed experimentally.
