Dysarthria in Friedreich disease

Abstract
Perceptual judgments have previously been used to rate the speech of patients with Friedreich disease. This study attempted to define speech patterns of dysarthria in Friedreich disease using acoustic analyses. The results from 14 patients indicated sudden variations in fundamental frequency and intensity, variability of segment durations, slowness of speech, and low diadochokinetic rate.
