Bioaerosol Sampling at a Live Animal Market in Kunshan, China: A Noninvasive Approach for Detecting Emergent Viruses

Abstract
During 2018, we conducted periodic bioaerosol sampling at a live bird market in Kunshan China and found (55%) of 120 samples to have evidence of avian influenza virus. We recovered four live viruses through egg culture. These results support the effectiveness of noninvasive bioaerosol sampling in live animal markets.
