The author found autotomy regular and uniform in Thyone briarens under the influence of ammonia water, and in 96% of the possible cases it was favorable for continued life and regeneration of lost parts. The hydroxides and carbonates of Na and K were also used with some success. Electrical stimulation of the muscles of the body also produced autotomy.
