Funebradiol, a New Pyrrole Lactone Alkaloid from Quararibea funebris Flowers

Abstract
The flowers of Quararibea funebris have yielded another new pyrrole lactone alkaloid, named funebradiol [1]. This compound was elucidated by the use of nmr, ir, and mass spectral interpretation. A potentially new biosynthetic pathway is postulated.
