Some of the most fundamental questions concerning social relations and the organization of society have been suggested to be concerned with equity, altruism, and a sense of fairness.1-4 Negative reactions to injustice have been shown to prevail in human societies and even in cooperative nonhuman primates, such as monkeys.5,6 One line of research in this field focuses on workplaces and the concept of justice at work.7,8
