Recent Advances in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cerebral Cysticercosis

Abstract
TWO major medical advances have made a review of cerebral cysticercosis timely. The first is the increased availability of CAT scanning, which has contributed both to a more accurate diagnosis and to a better understanding of the pathophysiology of cysticercosis. Investigators can now easily assess changes in lesions or their disappearance during treatment.
