Abstract
The volatile constituents of the dried fruit of Zizyphus jujuba Mill. var. inermis (Bge.) Rehd. were isolated by steam distillation with subsequent extraction of the distillate with dichloromethane. The concentrated extract was analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS. Seventy-eight compounds were identified, among which aliphatic acids and carbonyl compounds accounted for 62.97% and 29.56% of the total volatiles, respectively. The major components were decanoic acid (19.98%) and dodecanoic acid (15.64%).Keywords
