Efficient high-quality picosecond Nd:YVO_4bounce laser system

Abstract
A high-average-power, high-beam-quality picosecond laser is presented that is based on CW diode side-pumped thin-slab amplifiers having a bounce geometry. More than 65 W of output power with a beam quality of is obtained at an optical–optical efficiency of 46%.
