Abstract
Eight cases of tuberculosis are described among 13 free-living African buffalo shot in a game park in Uganda. The distribution and character of the lesions are described, and the differences between them and those found in the domestic bovine are discussed. This appears to be the 1st record of tuberculosis in the freeliving African (Cape) buffalo, Syncerus caffer caffer. A summary of other pathogens found at autopsy is given. Keywords
