Abstract
This paper presents an open testbed for studying the utilization of pervasive computing infrastructure in a city center. It comprises of different types of wireless networks, large public displays, middleware resources and monitoring tools. A set of examples demonstrating the applicability of the testbed in evaluating technology pilots and prototyping new services in authentic setting are presented. The paper concludes with a discussion on the challenges in deploying this kind of a testbed. Keywords
