Abstract
Here we report the excellent low-temperature electrochemical lithium intercalation performance of nanostructured electrode made from hydrogen titanate nanotubes. The low-temperature performance of nanostructured electrode made from nanotubes is superior to that from nanowires counterpart, although both electrodes hold similar performance at room temperature. The reduced lithium ion diffusivity in solid state and the difference in diameter between hydrogen titanate nanotubes and nanowires are ascribed to this difference ( in diameter for nanotubes and for nanowires in average). The excellent low-temperature electrochemical performance of hydrogen titanate nanotubes may make it a promising candidate as lithium-ion battery material. Keywords
