Rising Trajectories, Falling Residues, and Experiment

Abstract

We attempt here a limited experimental test of a recent speculation that the Regge residue function, $\beta \mathrm{}\left(s\right)\mathrm{}$, shows an exponential or faster decrease with $\alpha \mathrm{}\left(s\right)\mathrm{}$ as $s\to \infty$ to insure polynomial boundeness for the total amplitude.
