Abstract
The problem is considered of assigning a probability distribution on the basis of a limited number of moments. The Jaynes-Shannon maximum-entropy method is adapted to numerical computations by the construction of a suitable type of histogram. A brief account is given of the numerical methods involved and some numerical examples and results are presented, including an application to ion implantation. Keywords
