Abstract
THE PROVISION of early, appropriate resuscitation improves the outcome for the patient in cardiac or respiratory arrest.1 Effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation requires the physician to apply detailed cognitive information and to perform technical skills. Thus, physicians who participate in inpatient resuscitations, including residents, are expected to have a ready fund of the requisite knowledge and skills. Keywords
