Abstract
Efficient operation of a pulsed, high-repetition-rate diode-pumped and intracavity frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser is reported. A 3-mm-diameter laser rod was side-pumped with a 5-bar stack of high-duty-cycle 1-cm diode arrays. The average Q-switched power at 1.06 μm was 3.8 W at 1.33 kHz, and more than 4 W at 0.532 μm was obtained through intracavity frequency doubling with LiB3O5.Keywords
