Abstract
Penicillium emersonii Stolk, the conidial state of Talaromyces emersoniii Stolk, is a heat-resistant fungus usually isolated from soil. In this paper the authors report, to our knowledge, the first human case in which P. emersonii chronically colonized the respiratory tract and induced an immune response in a patient with cystic fibrosis. Keywords
