Abstract
An analysis to predict the critical pullout load, the breakout load, and load‐deformation characteristics of anchors using hyperbolic stress‐strain curves of soils as the constitutive law is proposed. The analysis incorporates the effect of the shape of the anchor. Strip, square, and circular anchors are analyzed. Analytical data are compared with the available experimental results, which show good agreement. Keywords
