Abstract
Presents a brief assessment of the quality movement in Fiji, which has the largest economy in the South Pacific islands. Relates the history of the beginning of the movement, then presents the means used by Fiji to introduce the quality movement in the country by the creation of the FNTC, the organization of the national quality convention and the establishment of the Fiji quality awards. Concludes by mentioning that Fiji is on the right track and that it also has a lead in the promotion of quality in the South Pacific Islands and in the developing worlds.
