Abstract
Water-distilled essential oil of Salvia caespitosa, an endemic species of Turkey, was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. More than fifty components were identified in the oil constituting 96.26% of the total components detected. Camphor (20.71%), 1,8-cineole (16.10%) and β-pinene (13.54%) were found to be the major components in the oil. Keywords
