Abstract
Atherogenesis involves the activation of endothelial cells and the egress of atherogenic T lymphocytes and monocytes into the intima. Exercise training contributes to the arrest and even reversal of atherosclerosis by modifying risk factors and by inducing an atheroprotective phenotype in endothelial cells and T cells. Keywords
