Harold F. Smiddy: Manager by Inspiration and Persuasion.

Abstract
Harold F. Smiddy (1900-1978) was one of the most important managerial theorists of the 20th century. He served as consultant and partner at Booz, Allen and Hamilton, Vice President of the General Electric Company, and president of the Academy of Management. He was co-developer, with Peter F. Drucker, of MBO, organized the most prestigious corporate training program in private industry, and ran a "laboratory" to think through and test managerial theory.
