Abstract
A short review of the development of magnetoelectrics is presented, primarily of recent work (2009–2012). Emphasis is upon the different applications for different generic types: for example, single-phase thin films for magnetic tunnel junctions but thick sandwich-structure multilayers and nano-composites for weak magnetic field detectors. Keywords
