Abstract
We report the endovascular stenting of an outflow tract thrombosis in a left ventricular assist device in a patient with relative contraindications to sternotomy and pump exchange. This report highlights the importance of simultaneous prevention of stroke using filter devices in the common carotid arteries. This is an open-access article distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivatives License 4.0 (CCBY-NC-ND), where it is permissible to download and share the work provided it is properly cited.
