Abstract
A combination of ideomotor questioning and subconscious review in light hypnosis has yielded information that can be useful in handling patients who are unconscious or critically ill. People who have survived can tell us what to do for others faced with similar problems. The very sick may be considered as though in hypnosis. They need no formal induction. They will accept suggestions when honestly given. They need to be instructed on what is happening, what will happen, and that these steps will assure a constructive goal.
