New results on interstellar reddening in the near infrared

Abstract
New JHK photometry of highly reddened stars yields a value for the colour excess ratio E(J–H)/E(H–K) of 2.09 ± 0.10, which is larger than previously reported values. There is no evidence for variation in this ratio over the sky.
