The amount of gamma-L-glutamine in animal tissues and in various areas of human brain was determined by a combination of paper electrophoresis and paper chromatography followed by ninhydrin procedure. The peptide was distributed widely in all animal tissue except muscle, and in all areas of the human brains examined.
