Abstract
Fetuin, a fetal calf serum glycoprotein, appeared to possess activity with cultured mammalian cells similar to that of a protein growth factor partially purified from adult bovine and human sera. Column chromatography, however, yielded highly purified but inactive fetuin. These results leave open questions regarding the role of this interesting and readily purified protein.Keywords
