Abstract
We have utilized thin film photoetch and galvanic processes as well as UV laser microbeam methods to produce a high density, fixed-array multi-microelectrode system. This two-dimensional system can be used as the floor of a tissue culture chamber and should be suitable for simultaneous long-term monitoring of single unit extracellular electrical activity from more than 30 neurons in culture. Keywords
