Climate analysis based on the psychrometric chart

Abstract

A method is presented, which can be used at the pre-design analysis stage for assessing the climate, establishing the thermal control task and selecting the appropriate passive control techniques. The psychrometric chart is used as the basis and the term control-potential zone is introduced to describe the range of outdoor atmospheric conditions within which indoor comfort could be achieved by the various passive control techniques.
