Over the past few years, the BJN has carried various articles on aspects of sexual health. It has been encouraging to see how these have emphasized the holistic dimensions of sexual health care, affecting the clients of almost all nurses, in almost every environment of care and education. The articles highlighted implications in generic nursing care, as well as for young people and school nursing, and people with learning disabilities; some also explored the theoretical issues of sexual health promotion and education.
