Abstract
The object of this research was to discover details of the life history and breeding biology of the two species of Asellus found in the surface waters of the British Isles. Data were obtained from monthly samples taken from two habitats. Analysis revealed that the species are similar in most aspects that were investigated but that the life histories show slight differences in timing. Keywords
