Abstract
A survey of the practice styles and preferences of 1985 ASCRS members was taken in the summer of 1985. A total of 3,800 surveys were mailed, with a return of 911 for a response rate of 24%. There was no financial incentive to return this survey except that return postage was paid by the author. The answers were cross-analyzed for variances in response according to practice style (solo, multispecialty group, and ophthalmology group), age of ophthalmologist, volume of cataracts per month, and geographic location. This report looks at each question and looks for variances.
