Salah satu permasalahan yang sering dihadapi oleh setiap orang percaya maupun yang tidak percaya yaitu situasi yang sulit dalam hidupnya, baik pergumulan tentang masa depan, pekerjaan, maupun jodoh (pasangan hidupnya). Aspek yang terpenting di dalam sebuah pergumulan, bukan seberapa besar pergumulan atau permasalahan yang dihadapi melainkan sikap hidup orang percaya dalam menghadapi pergumulan. Raja Daud memberikan sebuah contoh yang konkrit dalam menghadapi situasi yang sulit. Melalui kisah hidup yang dialami oleh Raja Daud dalam menghadapi pergumulan hidupnya, ada sebuah prinsip-prinsip yang dapat diterapkan bagi hidup orang percaya dalam menghadapi pergumulannya.
