Abstract
• Opioid use disordered patients commonly have chronic pain conditions before their first opioid use disorder diagnosis. • Patients who had chronic pain before opioid use disorder often had high rates of mental disorder and health conditions. • Patients who had opioid use disorder first were more likely to also have other substance use disorders.Keywords
