Abstract
Scaling relations of hysteresis loops and single transitions with respect to grain size were obtained by numerical simulation of closely packed 64×64 uniform hexagonal grains. The smallest obtainable transition parameter was found to be half the grain size (D). An approximate formula to relate the simulation data with the Williams-Comstock model was found to be a/D≈0.52+0.35(aWC/D)2 valid only for t/D⩽2.0, d+t/2⩽3.5D and Ms/Hk⩽0.1.
