Antidepressant efficacy and immune effects of bilateral theta burst stimulation monotherapy in major depression: A randomized, double-blind, sham-controlled study

Abstract
This is the first study investigating the antidepressant efficacy of bilateral theta-burst stimulation (TBS) monotherapy. Bilateral TBS monotherapy is effective for the treatment of major depression. This is the first study investigating the effects of TBS on a broad array of inflammatory cytokines including interleukin (IL) -1β, IL-12p40, IL-2, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IFN-γ inducible protein 10 and C-reactive protein.
