Abstract
A number of 3-aryl-4-arylmethylideneamino-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-ones were synthesized by reaction of the corresponding aromatic aldehydes with 4-amino-3-aryl-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-ones in anhydrous ethanol under microwave irradiation. The newly synthesized 1H-1,2,4-triazole derivatives were tested for antimicrobial activity. They showed no antibacterial activity but slight mycostatic activity against some Candida species. Keywords
