Abstract
Article abstract Within the cerebellum several structures are considered to modulate the function of the vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR). The nodulus and uvula have been implicated with the low-frequency components of the VOR, which are mediated by the velocity storage system. We report a patient with a selective lesion of the nodulus and ventral uvula. The findings suggest that nodulus and uvula normally exert an inhibitory effect on the velocity storage mechanism. Keywords
