Induction and Inhibition of the Second Polar Division in the Rat Egg and Subsequent Fertilization

Abstract

Among 227 eggs from 23 untreated oestrous rats, the first polar body had persisted in three eggs. (l.3 per cent.) and the second polar division had occurred spontaneously in two eggs (0.9 per cent.).
