Abstract
Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome is a well-recognized cause of hypercoagulability and has multiple manifestations. Patients with an unexplained thrombotic event should be evaluated for the disorder, which can be primary or secondary to another autoimmune disease. The mechanisms of thrombosis are still being elucidated, and the optimal therapeutic regimens remain controversial. Keywords
